Web Server OS Upgrade on Friday, January 30, 2015

On Friday, January 30 2015, between 0000 and 0300 hours EST, our team will be migrating our web server and database server from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2012.  We feel that Windows Server 2012 has been thoroughly tested by the IT community over the past several years and is safe to use in a high-traffic production environment.  The upgrade has been well-planned and coincides with our efforts to run the most recent and updated software provided by our vendors.

During this time period, visitors may receive error messages and/or unresponsiveness when trying to access the websites.  As always, we will do our best to minimize the time frame of this outage.  We have performed several trial runs of the migration checklist and are pleased with the outcome.  This upgrade does not include the SmarterMail server.  E-mail will remain fully functional and we will upgrade this server at a later date.
