E-Alert Notification Delays

We recently introduced a feature that attaches an ICS file attachment to all Calendar e-Alerts.  This works extremely well and allows users to click on the file to add an event directly to their personal calendar.
 
However, with the introduction of this feature and our new business growth, we noticed that e-Alert processing is running slower.  Last night, a customer with thousands of members updated their calendar for the entire year.  Each calendar entry sent thousands of e-Alerts, which caused a backlog of nearly 40,000 e-mail messages in the queue.  We are confident that this issue will fix itself within the next 24-48 hours.
 
Finally, it our mission to provide you and your members with the most dependable and fastest website and e-mail service possible.  We are currently researching solutions to handle the increased traffic / e-mail message sizes.  We will have safeguards in place shortly to prevent e-Alert delays from occurring in the future.  Thank you for being a valued Firehouse Solutions customer.
