You may have seen headlines this week about a critical security flaw affecting websites across the internet. Your website is not affected. What happenedOn October 20, PHP - the programming language behind WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and most e-commerce platforms - disclosed two critical vulnerabilities (nicknamed “PHP2Shell”) that lets an attacker run code on a web server with no login required. Both were rated 9.2 out of 10 in severity. Every PHP version since 2012 is affected and roughly 70% of all websites on the Internet run PHP. Researchers have identified more than 22 million exposed servers so far.
Why this does not apply to youFirehouse Solutions is built on Adobe ColdFusion, not PHP. PHP is not installed on any of our servers. There is nothing to exploit and nothing to patch - your website, member area, files and data remain well protected.
ColdFusion is an enterprise platform maintained by Adobe and used by the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of State, Food & Drug Administration, and Department of Justice, along with commercial corporations such as AT&T, Apple, Dell, and Boeing.
What we do every dayOur team monitors security advisories continuously, applies updates promptly, and runs our servers in a hardened, actively monitored configuration. We stay ahead of events like this so you don’t have to. When something in the news does affect you, you’ll hear it from us first.
